It is not important what we believe, but it is to our benefit that we believe. Our beliefs are a collection of expectations vital to survival. I believe when my lungs expand it fills with oxygen, that the sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening, or that through touch I may know the feel of things. All of Nature is designed to fulfill our expectations through irrefutable laws. All we have to do then, is to apply the same expectations to our desires. Indeed, the surety of the next breath, equals the faith of a mustard seed and it is all that is required to move mountains.
For years I have been telling stories to anyone who will listen. These stories have been filtered through my own experiences and are unique to me. But as I shared the stories with people from various cultures, and societies and I realized that Darwin was right, our common emotions bind us together across all cultures and beliefs. The key then is to tell a story that taps at the strings of what forms our basic core. They are many skilled at the how of writing. However, what to write can be achieved if you can harness the collective, to shed light on the primal core.
